Rome, 1 July 2024 - Haliéus, Legacoop's international development cooperation organisation, is pleased to announce the entry of six cooperative enterprises into its membership structure. An important milestone that consolidates the role of Haliéus as a tool for promoting the cooperative business model in partner countries to strengthen communities and individuals in line with cooperative principles.
The new members are CADIAI Società Cooperativa, Cim Onlus, CoopCulture, Consorzio Mediterraneo, and the two supporters 4Form and Fairtrade Italia.
The entry of these new realities complements Haliéus' structure of experience and skills, allowing the organization to expand and strengthen its range of action and intervention in strategic sectors for sustainable development.
The enlargement of the membership structure therefore represents a significant added value for Haliéus, as it allows a direct involvement of cooperative enterprises engaged and interested in international development cooperation, and is also a first step in the process of transformation as Entity of Third Sector.
Haliéus enthusiastically welcomes the new members and starts working on projects, synergies and collaborations together to promote a model of sustainable development based on cooperative values and principles in synergy and collaboration with the worldwide network of the International Cooperative Alliance.
